Kenny Chesney extended his worldwide recording agreement with Sony Music Nashville on June 4th and as part of the agreement, now has his own imprint, Blue Chair Records. Blue Chair will be affiliated with Columbia Nashville and listed as Blue Chair Records/ Columbia Nashville. TIm McGraw performed a special concert on Memorial Day for our service men and women at New York City's Beacon Theatre. The show, which featured Kip Moore as a special guest, was streamed live via YouTube and to military bases around the world on The Pentagon Channel through a partnership with Chase and the United Service Organization (USO.
"These men and women go out and put their lives on the line to protect the simple freedoms we enjoy every day," Tim said. "Playing for them last night was a thrill for me, and it was just small gesture of appreciation. I hope there will be a lot more of these types of shows as we get deeper into our HomeFront program. The energy in The Beacon was electric last night…it was the perfect way to spend Memorial Day."
Tim recently launched a nationwide program called HomeFront in partnership with Chase and Operation Homefront to award mortgage-free homes to wounded warriors and service members in need at each summer concert date on his Brothers of the Sun Tour with Kenny Chesney. Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw will be filling football stadiums across the country this summer on their Brothers of the Sun Tour, but over the weekend, Kenny played a much smaller venue in the Bahamas. He took the stage at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island as part of a benefit for PLAN!T NOW, a disaster preparedness non-profit. He was also part of the 11th Michael Douglas & Friends Celebrity Golf Tournament, hosted by stars Michael Douglas and Morgan Freeman.
Kenny is a longtime supporter of PLAN!T NOW which grants scholarships to students impacted by severe weather events. He’s also on its board of directors.
“This is really a cause that’s been close to my heart for years now, especially after seeing firsthand how weather disasters can completely tear apart a community,” Kenny said. “I was honored to join my friends Morgan and Michael in lending my voice to this important benefit and am looking forward to continuing my work with PLAN!T NOW in the future.” Photo courtesy of Tim Aylen / Atlantis, Paradise Island.

Kenny Chesney and his band took the stage at the House of Blues in New Orleans Saturday night to wrap up the 3rd Annual ‘Amazing Race’ Charity Event. The race is the signature event of the Brees Dream Foundation, founded by Drew Brees, quarterback of the New Orlean Saints, and his wife Britney. This year, the event partnered with the Just Keep Livin’ Foundation, founded by Matthew McConaughey and his fiancée Camila Alves.
“We’ve been in tour rehearsals for weeks now so it was great for us to get onstage and feel the energy and feedback from the crowd,” Kenny said. “Tonight was all about playing music to help celebrate this great event. People in this town love music and helping out their neighbor and I was glad to be a part of it.”
The event had several special moments. A one-of-a-kind auction item that allowed the highest bidder to join Kenny onstage for a song raised $10,000. Kenny and the winner of the item sang his hit “Somewhere With You.” At the end of the night, Kenny was joined by Drew and Matthew for an encore, singing Kenny’s “The Boys of Fall.” Photo courtesy of Sony Music Nashville.
