"As you can see, Cooper rules the house, to the dismay of my dog trainer," says Suzanne. "He sits wherever he wants! This moment wasn't planned. Cooper wanted to be in the shot. He's a ham."

"I found this canoe shelf in New York City years ago," says Suzanne. "It's been with me since my very first apartment. The fishing rod and oil lantern are a friend's late grandfather's that he used in the hollers of Kentucky."

"This has become the main living quarters for me," says Suzanne of her sunroom. "It's the place where I do all my writing and it allows me to be 'outside' without being outside."

"I love a high table, especially since Cooper can't rest his head on it, which he does on the dining room table inside the house," says Suzanne. "I've lost many a meal that way. The antler candle holder is from Alaska. No animal had to die for it! They shed their antlers and the local residents are allowed to clean them up and sell them."

"I love moose and asked my friend Ronnie if he could make me something," says Suzanne. "Now I see Walter the Moose every morning when I have my coffee!"

"You can't really see this, but the fan has moose and bear all around it, with little antlers on the pull strings," says Suzanne. "Eventually, I'll add some string lights to the wooden ceiling beams."

"This wooden box underneath the TV was going to be tossed, but a friend saved it from being thrown out," says Suzanne. "We think it's from the Civil War – and we like that it keeps the TV low so the outside view isn't blocked."
