Craig Morgan's Man Cave, Just off the main room of the Man Cave is Craig's wine cellar, which can hold up to 3,000 bottles. Craig says football player Dan Marino got him interested in wine.

"He took me down to his wine cellar and said, 'Pick a bottle,'" recalls Craig. "I grabbed one and he said, 'Man, you know a lot about wine!' I said, 'No, I just like the label,'" he laughs.

"I didn't know anything about wine, so I started learning about it because I knew the next time I went back to his house, I didn't want to look like a complete idiot."

Craig Morgan's Man Cave, The night Craig's taxidermist delivered the alligator to him, he also had an alligator ready for Chuck Wicks. By coincidence, Craig and Chuck were both playing the Grand Ole Opry on the same night, so the taxidermist delivered two gators to the Opry!

"We brought the alligator home that night after the Opry," says Craig. "We waited until about 12:30 when my wife was in bed and brought it through the front door, down the stairs and set it up. My cleaning lady will not come down here. She used to come down here before the bears, and would walk through the room hiding her eyes. She couldn’t look at anything -– she was mortified. So my goal this year is to get her acclimated to these mounts so she will clean down here. ‘Cause my wife won’t do it either. She’s like, ‘That room's yours.’"

Craig Morgan's Man Cave, "I never drank a lot in my life," says Craig. "Shoot, I was in my late 20s before I started drinking at all. And I only drank wine. I just love it. There’s something really special about the grape, and here’s why: when you grow those grapes, you get one shot, one harvest. So there’s a lot of science and emotion, time and effort, sweat, blood and tears that go into making wine. Then, after you’ve done all that you say, ‘When should I open this bottle? How long do I let this sit in the barrel?’ I know the process of making beer and whiskey has some similarities, but there’s just something unique about the wine for me."

Craig Morgan's Man Cave, A closeup of Craig's most treasured bottle of champagne. When Craig was a soldier in Panama during Operation Just Cause, he and some other soldiers acquired bottles that General Manuel Noriega was going to give to Muammar Gaddafi. Since most of the other guys have since opened their bottles, Craig thinks this may be the last remaining unopened bottle.

Craig Morgan's Man Cave, Craig is pictured here on a hunting trip with Blake Shelton and Rhett Akins. "We went on an elk hunt in Montana," says Craig. "We walked our ever-loving butts off. That was the trip where, I’d already come down from the mountain –- and Rhett, they said he’d take one step and fall two. He stopped, sat down and said, ‘Screw this. They’re going to have a send a helicopter; I ain’t walking another step!’ But that was a fun hunt."

Craig Morgan's Man Cave, "This one right here is really, really special," says Craig. "D ick Kirby, who founded Quaker Boy Game Calls years ago in his garage, became a good friend of mine. He was the first guy to give me a job in the outdoor industry.

"Before I was a singer, he offered me a pro staff job. I was just like anybody else out there, hunting. But he really liked me and gave me a job. Basically he gave me free calls and equipment to represent their company. This is called a Paddleboat call, and he hand-made this for me. This was his buffalo call -- the Buffalo Nickel series. It’s got the Buffalo nickel inlaid in it. He signed it a couple of different times. He’s since passed away, so this is a really special call. And aside from that, it’s one of the best-sounding calls in the world. He was a real good man. He gave a goober like me a shot."

Craig Morgan's Man Cave, "This guy is from New Zealand," says Craig, pointing at the unusual-looking animal. "This is actually their possum, and I thought he looked more like our raccoon. The cool thing about this guy is, the polar bear is the only other animal in the world that has fur like this. Every hair on that animal is porous."

Craig Morgan's Man Cave, A large collectin of unit coins sits on a Jack Daniel's whiskey barrel in Craig's wine cellar.

"It’s a tradition that started in the military," explains Craig. "Nobody really knows who started it or when. Let’s say, for example, you do something good and a commanding officer wants to present you with something. They don’t want to fill out a bunch of paperwork and do an award, so they give you a unit coin.

"There’s a tradition with the coin," he says. "If I meet you in a bar and I’ve either given you a coin or you’ve received a coin, and I throw my coin down, I’m challenging you. If you don’t have your coin, you have to buy the drinks. If you do have your coin, that means you met the challenge and I have to buy the drinks.

"For me it’s very cool because I’ve got coins from previous Secretaries of Defense. I’ve got three Vice Presidential coins. I’ve got coins that very few people will ever see. These were all coins that were presented to me as a soldier, not as a singer."
